Michelle Twitchell attended the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and received a Bachelor Degree in Exercise and Sports Science with a concentration in Nutrition. She has also worked at Duke University in the Nutritional Research Department at the Center for Living. Michelle moved to Maine in 2001 and immediately began to get involved in the fitness and gym industry in the area. She began to work as a Personal Trainer at a local gym in Lewiston and her passion to get the community healthier began to grow. She developed a 12-week nutrition program, RESULTS FITNESS AND WEIGHTLOSS that focuses on both exercise and nutrition to ensure clients achieve ultimate results.

Michelle works with clients in person and online. Training each client on an individual basis, focusing and achieving results through challenging and constantly changing workouts. Michelle is committed to developing and learning innovative training techniques that keep the workouts fun and the body challenged!

With a diverse clientele, Michelle is constantly educating herself on the newest training techniques. She frequently attends fitness conferences and continuing education seminars to bring the latest fitness techniques to her clients. She is a certified personal trainer through AFFA , ACE, and a Group Fitness and Spinning Instructor, with over 15 years of experience.

I want to help you get the best out of yourself. After improving my own health, and realizing that an active lifestyle is necessary for my body to function, I became passionate about helping others find their own path to wellness through exercise. Eight years ago, injury and illness challenged me and I decided to change my life: doing the slow and hard work of exercise for recovery.

Nicole earned a bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science, with an emphasis on Health and Fitness, from the University of Maine in Gorham. In addition to being a personal trainer, Nicole works at The Gym training, teaching cycle, battle ropes and active aging. Whatever your activity level, I will challenge and guide you to help make the changes you want to see in your health and wellness.

If your goal is weight loss, strengthening, playing with your grandchildren, or maybe just feeling better than you have in years, I can be the friendly face and voice, ready to greet you and push you to reach those results. No matter what your goal, it is my compassion, dedication, and creativity can help you achieve it!

Jonathan has been a wellness professional for over a decade and a practicing martial artist since age nine. As a passionate coach and trainer he is at his best when partnering with busy individuals and small groups to deliver on achieving personalized fitness goals. While attending college at the University of Maine at Farmington where he received his degree in psychology with a focus in exercise science, Jon took an interest in resiliency based health from an interdisciplinary perspective. This led him on a student exchange to Cal. State University where he completed a research assistantship in health psychology.

During this time Jon was also able to train at the Gracie Jiu Jitsu Academy headquarters, and became one of the early practitioners to bring Brazilian Jiu Jitsu to Maine. In 2001 Jon co-founded The Foundry Jiu Jitsu team which now includes a network of instructors, grappling and MMA competitors throughout the Northeast. Recently Jon developed Foundry-One, a mindful based fitness program that blends strength, mobility and conditioning with warrior based exercise and diet. With a diverse background Jonathan is available for one to one or small group Personal Training in fitness in addition to specialized private lessons in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, MMA Boxing and Self Defense. Now available at The Gym, Lewiston. He is a certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and focuses heavily on integrated movement.

As a lifetime athlete my workout programs stem from my love of a variety of activities. I help my clients focus and find balance in a healthy lifestyle that fit’s their goals. I inspire with great workouts and kind encouragement, but start slacking… and you’re going to here it!

Kelley took interest in sports and fitness at a very young age. Her passion for running lead her to the University of Maine, Orono where she earned a B.S in Physical Education and Kinesiology with a concentration in Athletic Training. While at UMO she competed in Div.1 Cross Country and Track & Field for 3 years. She was the student trainer for the Women’s Field Hockey team and the Men & Women’s Swimming and Diving teams.

Kelley is still currently involved in races of all distances across New England and also takes part in various other physical competitions.Out of college she was a Physical Education teacher at Londonderry High School in NH, and then was the Physical Education teacher at what is now named St.Dominic’s Academy for 10 years. She has been a fitness instructor at The Gym for 2 years, a certified R.I.P.P.E.D instructor, and has lead a number of Couch to 5k programs. Wanting to use her passion to motivate others in achieving their goals, Kelley has joined the team of trainers at The Gym.
